How do you prevent overflows, for instance if the return pump fails. If I do this do I need a new protein skimmer? I'm planning on adding fish to the tank. I want to add either peaceful or at the most semi-aggressive fish, but can I add snails, sea stars, cucumbers, shrimp or crabs with my fish? Some packages on line offer a mixture, is this an OK thing to do.
